How the lottery works

Every coin is a lottery. Every buy is a ticket. The market decides when the jackpot hits.

Spot, the Stonkspot bull

The pairing

Every coin is paired with one market when it launches: a US stock, an ETF, a commodity or a crypto. The creator also picks a side. A Bull coin's jackpot hits when its market goes up, a Bear coin's when it goes down. Market and side are written in the contract and never change.

Prices come from Chainlink Data Feeds on BNB Chain, read on-chain by the jackpot contract. The coin itself is a memecoin traded in BNB: it holds no shares and gives no exposure to the stock. The market only decides when the jackpot hits.

The draw

Each lottery coin has a jackpot and a schedule of draws:

  • Stocks, ETFs and commodities draw every US trading day (Monday to Friday) at 21:30 UTC, after the market closes.
  • Crypto coins draw every hour, every 4 hours or every 24 hours, as chosen by the creator.

At each draw, the contract compares the market price at that exact time with the price at the previous draw. Both are the Chainlink rounds in effect at those timestamps, proven on-chain, so nobody can choose the price.

It moved your way

Jackpot hit. 80% of it goes to one ticket, 20% seeds the next jackpot.

It did not

The jackpot rolls over and keeps growing. Every ticket stays in for the next draw.

7 rollovers in a row

The 8th draw is a mercy draw: it pays whatever the price did.

A draw where nothing can be won (no ticket yet, or a jackpot under 0.005 BNB) can be skipped. Anyone can trigger a draw once its time has passed; the Stonkspot keeper does it within seconds.

Tickets

Every buy of at least 0.01 BNB made on Stonkspot is a lottery ticket for the coin's jackpot, weighted by the BNB spent. The creator's first buy counts too. Buys made elsewhere (PancakeSwap, aggregators) are not tickets.

  • Tickets close before each draw: 4 hours before a stock draw, a sixth of the cadence for crypto (10 minutes for hourly draws). Later tickets count from the next draw, so nobody can buy once the outcome is all but known.
  • A ticket stays in every draw until a jackpot hit includes it.
  • Hold to win. If you sell or send any of the coin before the draw, your tickets are void. The token counts outgoing transfers, so the contract can check.

Fair draws

When a jackpot hits, the contract asks Chainlink VRF v2.5 for a random number, paid from the prize (a few cents). The winning ticket is picked in the same transaction that reveals the number, weighted by BNB, without replacement: a void ticket is skipped and the pick moves on, up to ten times. The prize is sent to the winner right after. If nobody holding a ticket can take it, it goes back to the jackpot.

If Chainlink does not answer within 6 hours, anyone can request again. After 3 days without an answer, the draw can fall back to the hash of a future block, so a prize can never be stuck behind an external service.

Curve and PancakeSwap

Every coin has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000. 800M are sold on a bonding curve priced in BNB (virtual reserves of 4 BNB). At 12 BNB raised the curve sells out; anyone can then move the coin to PancakeSwap V2 at the curve's exact final price. The LP tokens are sent to the dead address: the liquidity can never be pulled. Leftover reserved tokens are burned.

Before graduation nobody can add liquidity to the coin's PancakeSwap pair, so nobody can open it at a wrong price. After graduation the coin trades freely everywhere, with no tax.

Fees

Every trade made on Stonkspot, on the curve and after graduation, pays 1.5% in BNB:

To the jackpot
1%
To the creator
0.25%
To Stonkspot
0.25%

Launching costs nothing beyond gas and the starting jackpot (at least 0.005 BNB, all of it prize money). At graduation, 2% of the raised BNB goes to Stonkspot.

Contracts

The contracts are open source and verified on BscScan. Coins have no owner, no mint, no tax, no blacklist, no pause and no proxy. The lottery contract has no owner and no admin function. The launchpad owner can only list new markets, change the protocol fee recipient and pause new launches. It cannot touch curves, jackpots, prizes, liquidity, launched coins or the market they are paired with.

Questions

Do I own NVDA if I hold an NVDA lottery coin?

No. The coin is a memecoin priced in BNB. NVDA's price only decides when its jackpot hits.

What happens on weekends and holidays?

Stock coins only draw Monday to Friday. On a market holiday the price does not move, so that jackpot rolls over.

Why did my ticket become void?

You sold or sent some of the coin after buying the ticket. Tickets reward holding until the draw.

Can the team pick the winner or the price?

No. Prices are Chainlink rounds proven on-chain at the bell time; the winner comes from Chainlink VRF. Every step is a public transaction.

What chain and wallet?

BNB Chain (BSC). Any EVM wallet works: Binance Wallet, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rabby, OKX.
